  • Scott Stevens

    Pastor

    Scott and his wife Edna Faye came to Fairhaven in 2012. They have five grown children each pursuing careers and working in various fields. Scott and Edna graduated from Samford University in 1983 and were married in 1984. Ministry led them to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where Scott earned his Master of Divinity degree. Pastoral ministry has been in their lives since 1987.

  • Andrew Lowe

    worship pastor

    Andrew joined the Fairhaven Team in February of 2014. Originally from Chattanooga, TN, he is a die-hard Tennessee Volunteer and met his Crimson Tide devoted wife, Brittany, at the University of Mobile in 2007. He and Brittany were married in 2010 and have had the opportunity to tour, perform, & lead worship all over the world in places including Indonesia, Spain, London, Paris (Notre Dome Cathedral), Israel, Jordan, Singapore, Canada, The White House and throughout the USA. These experiences have helped him discover more about how big God is and what it truly means to live a life of worship. He strives to bring excellence in what is done in the Worship Ministry, while keeping our focus solely on Jesus Christ. Visit his blog.

  • tyler gresham

    student pastor

    Tyler is originally from nearby Selma, Alabama, and through his family has a deep love for Demopolis. He attended Troy University where he met his wife, Jenna, and graduated with a degree in European, Asian, and African History in 2009. After their marriage, Tyler and Jenna moved to Birmingham where he attended Samford University’s Beeson Divinity School, graduating with his Master of Divinity in 2013. Tyler’s desire is to disciple young people in order to equip them for ministry now in their homes and schools as well as in the future, whether that be in vocational ministry, lay ministry, or living out the gospel in their workplaces. He and Jenna have one son, John, and one daughter, Avie. Tyler’s favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

    west alabama christian administrator

    Roni Long has been teaching students in public and private schools for over 19 years. She started her teaching career in the Perry County School District teaching fourth grade and has taught through college including several years at Alabama Southern Community College as an Adult Education Teacher and adjunct professor. As administrator of West Alabama Christian School, she enjoys designing curriculum that allows students to think outside the box, supporting teachers, and working alongside parents for the good of all the students for the glory of God. She is committed to seeing that each student that is a part of the ministry of West Alabama Christian is immersed in a quality education that is taught from a Christian Worldview. Mrs. Long received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Her M.Ed in Elementary Education is from the University of West Alabama as are her Educational Administration certification and Ed.S in Elementary Education. Roni also has gained her Advanced Professional Certification in Educational Administration and Elementary Education from the American Association of Christian Schools in 2014. Mrs. Long has been married for 23 years to Marlon Long of Grove Hill, AL and has two children Caitlin and Noah.

    Sharon has served at Fairhaven since 2001. From 2001-2013 she was the Administrative Assistant. She became the Financial Administrator in 2014. Although these were/are her title she feels as though this is a ministry rather than a job. ‘I see this as an opportunity to share the love of Jesus as many people come in & out of the office. We listen, pray, laugh, cry, and share what He has done in our own lives with those who come by.’ Sharon has served and continues to serve in the children’s choir ministry. Sharon and her husband Steve have been married since 1980. They have three children: Jamey (Michalle), Bridget and Matthew. They also have two grandsons: Patrick Clark & Andy. Sharon is a huge Auburn fan! “WAR EAGLE” Favorite Scripture ~ Philippians 4:13 ~ “I can do ALL things through Him who gives me strength”

  • Cindy hay

    Children's Director

    Cindy has been ministering to children and families in some capacity since graduating from Southern Arkansas University. She has worked as a special needs and preschool teacher as well as a medical social worker. Prior to becoming children's director, Cindy served through VBS, mission programs, children's choir, and Sunday school. Cindy believes that children are our responsibility whether they are in our home, our community, or thousands of miles away. Children’s ministry is more than teaching Bible stories and passing out animal crackers. It is teaching kids to have a relationship with God Monday through Saturday, not just an encounter on Sunday. Cindy and her husband Larry have been married since 1986. They have three boys: Brandon, Nathan and Noah. Her favorite scripture is Zepheniah 3:17.

  • Heather basinger

    West Alabama Christian Administrative Assistant

    Heather joined the West Alabama Christian School staff in 2015. She left a 9 year career in banking to become a stay at home mom. It was during that time she became more involved in her daughter’s school and began serving in the school’s PTFO. Her love for the school and children of WAC grew and after many prayers offered and many doors opened, God led her to serve in the office as the school’s Administrative Assistant. Heather loves being a part of the West Alabama Christian ministry and enjoys serving all stakeholders of the WAC family.

    Heather is a graduate of the University of West Alabama where she received degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She and her husband, Cole, have been married since 2008. They have 2 children, Ava and Eli, who currently attend West Alabama Christian.
