Our Team

  • Scott Stevens

    Senior Pastor

Scott and his wife Edna Faye came to Fairhaven in 2012. They have five grown children each pursuing careers and working in various fields. Scott and Edna graduated from Samford University in 1983 and were married in 1984. Ministry led them to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where Scott earned his Master of Divinity degree. Pastoral ministry has been in their lives since 1987.

“The privilege of being a pastor has been fulfilling and challenging across 33 years. The joy in it lies in the lives transformed through the power of a relationship with Jesus Christ”

"We have been privileged to meet some of God’s choicest servants within the churches we have served and look forward to continuing to make eternal friends here in Demopolis."

  • tyler gresham

    Administrative pastor to students

Tyler has been at Fairhaven serving as student pastor since December 2013. He holds a Bachelors in European, Asian, and African history from Troy University and a Masters of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School, Samford University.  His desire is to disciple young people in order to equip them for ministry now in their homes and schools as well as in the future, whether that be in vocational ministry, lay ministry, or serving Jesus in their workplaces.

He also works with Fairhaven's domestic and global mission partners to plan short-term ministry trips while serving on the Board of Directors for Let My People Go, a non-profit which equips churches to combat human trafficking by caring for the vulnerable in their communities.

Tyler is married to Jenna and together they have 3 children: John, Avie, and Tessa (who passed away in 2019).

Tyler’s favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:21: “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

  • Cindy hay

    Children's Director

Cindy has been ministering to children and families in some capacity since graduating from Southern Arkansas University. She has worked as a special needs and preschool teacher as well as a medical social worker. Prior to becoming children's director, Cindy served through VBS, mission programs, children's choir, and Sunday school.

She believes that children are our responsibility whether they are in our home, our community, or thousands of miles away. Children’s ministry is more than teaching Bible stories and passing out animal crackers. It is teaching kids to have a relationship with God Monday through Saturday, not just an encounter on Sunday.

Cindy and her husband Larry have been married since 1986. They have three boys: Brandon, Nathan and Noah. Her favorite scripture is Zepheniah 3:17.

    financial administrator

Sharon has served at Fairhaven since 2001. From 2001-2013 she was the Administrative Assistant. She became the Financial Administrator in 2014. Although these were/are her title she feels as though this is a ministry rather than a job. ‘I see this as an opportunity to share the love of Jesus as many people come in & out of the office. We listen, pray, laugh, cry, and share what He has done in our own lives with those who come by.

Sharon and her husband Steve have been married since 1980. They have three children: Jamey (Michalle), Bridget and Matthew. They also have two grandsons: Patrick Clark & Andy.
